For American citizens, Charles Schwab is the way to go, they refund 100% of ATM fees every month, they have fee free, checking, add a complementary brokerage account, no minimum balances, and free wire transfers in and out of the country on the app.

Both times I have entered. I have checked before I left the immigration counter. Both times was 180 days.

I carefully wrote my employment contract to state that all in income is considered earned in the United States, regardless of where the work is performed. Come this summer, we will see how this plays out.

I arrived in Thailand January 16 and left the same day. Came back to DMK on the 21st. Both time entering (BKK and DMK) my laminate was greeted with a big smile, no questions, and a 180 day stamp.

Free ATM in Thailand, actually they reimburse you at the end of the month for any fees, no minimum balance, no monthly fees, you can do wire transfers to your landlord‘s bank account, I believe you can set up bill pay online also. 24 seven live customer service. And you can customize it for whatever country you live in. Can’t say enough good things about them.
