TLDR : Answer Summary
All foreigners entering Thailand are now required to fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) prior to their arrival, starting from May 1st. It is advised to submit this information three days before arriving, regardless of visa type, including those doing a border run. There are exceptions for those in transit or holding a Border Pass. The requirement has generated mixed responses among users, with questions about its enforceability and details about required information.

What information is required in the form ?
Marta *************
Alright, so we’re all just putting a date that’s exactly 180 days from arrival in the "departure" field??
Expat **********
@Marta ************
Don’t think that’s a mandatory field.

Is this really final? See this announcement many times, always postponed.

ETA postponed. The TM6 arrival card was suspended. This is now the TDAC.

All foreigners entering Thailand are required to submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card before their arrival, with the following exceptions:

- Foreigners transiting or transferring in Thailand without going through immigration control

- Foreigners entering Thailand using a Border Pass

Yes. You're exiting and re-entering.

Hmmm really ? 2522 ?

@Eric *********
it’s not a new immigration act. They just temporarily stopped asking people arriving by air to fill out the paper forms. Now it’s back and is an online process.

WHEN SUBMIT?

Foreigners should submit their arrival card information 3 days in advance of arriving in Thailand, including the date of arrival.

So how to do a DTV border run ?
Tim ***********
Ok. That makes sense 😉

It’s bad English on website I’m assuming . Should say within 3 days in advance of arrival. Meaning you have maximum 72 hours to apply but can still apply on day of travel. This is the way the Philippines entry works too.

@Expat *********
ok they write "should". But why is it important to do this in advance ?
Expat **********
@Tim **********
Because they don’t want people approaching immigration having not filled it in? Will lead to absolute chaos if people are filling it in when queuing for immigration. Those that haven’t filled it in will be directed to the naughty corner to fill it in.
