A letter explaining how I will work remotely while in Thailand?
Does this mean I just need to make an "official" letter myself. Explaining I will work out of a co-working space from my laptop? Any more details needed?
Me and my significant other aim to move to Thailand in a few months. We make music full time which makes around 7k a month gross, though we are considering doing a soft power (we don't officially run a registered business, very DIY). We have always shared funds from my account. Since we are self employed and share funds, what is the best course of action for obtaining a DTV for both of us?
We have the 500k baht each and make a good amount to our (my) main account, so not really a money issue - maybe just in the wrong places. Is there a monthly requirement for how much she should be making a month? What are the exact requirements for a soft power as far as income and documentation? Should we apply in the USA beforehand or try from Vietnam like many have suggested?
I'm mainly just looking for overall advice to our unique situation, and a general best course of action. Any advice is appreciated.
I am preparing my documents for my application & I see that a letter from your registered company is recommended. But what if you are self employed as a sole proprietor?
Does anyone have experience as a “digital nomad” working for themselves (private practice therapist) using the DTV? It looks like one of the requirements is working for a big company which I don’t.
Hello, I’m looking to apply for the DTV visa (UK passport holder) I’ve only recently gone self employed so don’t have a tax return yet, has anyone had success in this visa without a tax return? Thank you in advance !
In the uk I worked as a business consultant and part time teacher of business management. I was thinking of offering private/one to one business and English tutoring from my home or remotely, can I do that? And if so what visa would I need? I’m currently here as married to Thai wife. Don’t want to go through the hassle of setting a business up here, with all the conditions that come with that.
This is maybe a stretch, but I wonder if this is an option. Maybe the group can advise?
I’m a professional musician, performing several international tours per year (never in Thailand). This is my sole income, and my tax is paid in the UK (British citizen).
The time between tours is creative time.
This is time that I would like to spend in Thailand, and thus travel to work occasionally for a tour.
Could I be regarded as a ‘remote worker’, given that the time in Thailand is spent creatively, though the resulting income is made overseas?
Basically, I was wondering, if these professional criteria fulfill the requirements in obtaining a DTV in that regard.
I just recently registered my business and am not going to be operating until later in the year. So I don't have any evidence apart from the business registration. Is that enough evidence of self employment to get the DTV visa?
Besides that, I can meet all other requirements (e.g. 500,000k in the bank).
I am a realtor self-employed with an S corporation in America for 20+ years with proof of income. I have a team with agents to cover my business while traveling. I am not necessarily working in Thailand but trying to eventually retire there. What documentation will I need to provide to get approved for DTV Visa?
