Have any American self employed people people received the DTV?

My spouse ( common law) are planning to come on the new DTV visa but I have some questions hopefully someone can help with.

1)How far in advance do I need to apply,

2) is there a certain amount of time the 500,000 needs to be in my account when showing our bank statements

3) I am self employed and have a business I can run from anywhere so how would I need to show proof of this and that I don’t work for someone else?

4)

And would I need to reapply for this visa every 180 days or how does that work?

Has anyone here successfully applied as a ecommerce business owner?

Curious to know what documentation you were successful with. I’m assuming I would just need to make myself my own work contract employing myself and maybe a portfolio matching my work and experience?

I have been living and working in Thailand now for 20+ years, I have a full time job with a visa, and work permit. However, I want to move to our home in the north of Thailand and teach online full-time to European students. I know I have several options for visas but do I need a work permit? And if so how can I get one if I'm not working for a Thai company and I'm working on an online platform? I was hoping the new DTV visa would solve this problem but it seems, according to others on here, that the DTV visa is only for those who are employed remotely by a foreign company.

Following up on my previous post regarding DTV visa application- I am on week 4 of waiting.

They have responded and asked to provide proof of funds once again, as cert. of deposit or bank statement for the past 3 months. I've supplied them twice with brokerage statements , which show the required amount for the required period of time.

Has anyone else showed brokerage statements? Were they accepted?

Do I maybe need to provide a letter from the brokerage confirming I have liquid assets?

Also, if anyone is self-employed and had to provide an employment contract: did you specifically state that all of the work is remote?

I've submitted a certificate of employment (for my own company) and they require me to re-submit with statement of remote work.

I want to make sure I do it correctly this time, would be super helpful to hear from someone who is in the same position and had been accepted.

Hey guys! DTV question - I own a company/ am self employed. I have read several posts where people have mentioned they had to provide a letter confirming they work remotely. Since I own the company and am the director, what exactly do I write in this letter? And do I address this to the embassy in question? Thanks in advance!

I own my own business and do trading I don't have clients. Should I just write a letter as my company explaining this? The financial part is easy just not sure what documents I should provide since I work for myself. Not sure if anyone that's been approved has used their own online business yet or not. Thanks

My DTV in Poland has been approved as well! The process was quite smooth. Initially, I only submitted the contract, but since I’m self-employed, they requested an additional extract from the Company’s Register. Make sure to send all documents in English. Good luck with your visa applications!
