Hello. Coming from Canada, I work remotely for a Canadian company and my husband is retired. Was planning on DTV Workation based and him as spouse but seeing lots of ppl recommending o-visa. The O-A requires a re-entry permit if we leave for any length, I’m uncertain if the O-X does as well.

Question then…if i come over on a non-o can I still work remotely or am I better to stick with the DTV “Nomad Visa”? Second, can hubby apply for non-o and I apply for DTV or must we both hold the same type?

I have my Non-O Visa and have the 90 day stamp. It is time to go back and get the one year stamp and Im wondering if anyone has done this in the last year?

I need to know what documents/forms I should take?

The various websites I have checked are contradicting each other or are a bit worthless (also immigration was not very specific when I was there getting the 90-day). Im trying to keep it to as few trips as possible.

Thank You :)

Hi everyone, would you please be able to provide recommendations for a reputable and licensed visa agent in Bangkok who can assist with a Non O retirement visa and opening of a bank account. Thanks!

Hello and thank you for accepting my request. My husband and I are planning to relocate to Thailand by January 2026. We are in our 50s and retiring. All solid advice would be appreciated. Thank you 🪷

Two questions. Does any of the Thai banks offer high yield savings accounts? If they do, can I use one of those accounts for my retirement visa?

I was told on last entry that next time I arrive I need a propper visa. But got a bit conflicting information, when I asked that my next trip will only be for 30 days before return to Norway. Then I was told no I don't need for this short trip.

I stay 60-90 days in vinter months, and 30 days in September/October.

I have 2 questions:

Will they give entry if you have appointments with visa agent in Thailand? Even just short time. As I'm not sure I can trust the statement that I can enter if only staying 30 days.

Second question: If refused entry, can I just book a flight to Philippines and stay there instead for the duration I had plan in Thailand? I really don't want to have to travel back to Norway just to book new trip.

I'd like to build a house. For REASONS I am interested in sending the money from USA to my wife here. How did that work? With large transfers does it get declared or flagged or? Is it taxed? What sort of rates? We know very little about taxes in Thailand- nobody in my wife's network has anyone ever had enough money to need to pay taxes.

Hello,

Later this month, I plan to apply for the Thailand remote work visa (Destination Thailand Visa - DTV) in Jakarta, Indonesia. However, I currently hold a 6-month TR visa issued by the Thai Embassy in Tokyo Japan, which expires on July 12. My current stay as a tourist in Thailand will end on June 27 (I've already extended by 30 days). Therefore, it seems I'll need to unnecessarily stay in Indonesia for 16 days, waiting for my TR visa to expire before applying for the DTV.

I know you might say to me to come out and back to Thailand and gain another 60 days to stay in Thailand, but I would like to obtain a DTV as soon as possible.

I've noticed several comments in this group—some mention successfully applying for the DTV before their existing visa expired, while others advise waiting until the current visa has fully expired. Is it indeed safe and possible to apply for the DTV before my TR visa expires?

If anyone has successfully or unsuccessfully applied for the DTV while their TR or Education visas were still valid, please share your experience. Your insights would be greatly appreciated😀
