Not visa related - more anything else. I intend to marry in Thailand and have the certified marital status document and passport copy from the British Embassy. I believe the next step it to have these documents translated to Thai and then authorised. Does anyone know an authorised translation service in Jomtien/Pattaya that can translate at a reasonable cost (without using an agent)? Thanks in advance for constructive replies.

Hello, has anyone had experience applying for a visa through the Thai E-visa system? I’m applying for a Non-B visa to work as a teacher, and right now I have a tourist visa (TR). Do I need to fill out the application while I’m in Thailand, or do I have to go to a Thai consulate in another country? And how many days does it usually take to get the visa?

I am a non-O visa (retirement) holder with a multiple re-entry permit. When I return home from outside Thailand do I need to do a TDAC?

Just sharing today’s exprience in Don Mueng. I used the Thai passport lane as I was traveling with my thai wife. I had filled out the DTAC, and handed it to the immigration officer, who proceeded to totally ignored it. He did not want to see it or the barcode, and just went into the passport to look for the visa stamp.

Hi, I need to clarify an important step for being finally a teacher in this beautiful country 🤩

So when I went to Malaysia 2 weeks ago (to send all documents to Penang embassy and change my tourist visa in non-b) I had an issue, my school was not updated about eVisa and didn't give me some paper so I went back in with another tourist visa.

Now I need to go out again to show them the evisa request arrived yesterday (after so many troubles and lack of help from embassy or evisa service) and finally get the stamp of non-b visa on my passport (I still don't have a work permit but I should get it pretty soon and I don't think that because of this it should be a problem to get the non b at the border, but in case just let me know).

Can I do this border stamp in any border thai I like in Thailand (in this case Ranong that's shorter distance) or I forcely MUST go in the same embassy where I requested my eVisa (in this case, Penang)?

I think it should fine Ranong, please bring me some good news 😋

Thanks group! So far you’ve been invaluable. Will post my full experience soon. But….

I’m waiting for my 90 day Non O - to - Marriage visa extension to be approved. I’ve done everything, post 45 days immigration office visit. Then, my home visit 7 days later… etc.

My decision date is mid June. .. but, my mother is very unwell, she has dementia, sadly. So I need to fly back to the U.K for 5 nights next week. I’ll buy the re-entry permit that I’m required to of course, and I’ll be be back in Thailand at least 10 days before my immigration appointment for my marriage extension conclusion.

Is this ok?

Any advice will be very much appreciated.

Dom

Hi Guys.... is it just me that's so confused over which health insurance I need in order to apply for nonO visa through thai embassy🫣. I expected nothing is cheap but im getting so many different prices...and shocked by some..am i even googling the right insurance🤷‍♂️...that's why I ask you experts here 🙏. Is it best to pay annually?... monthly?.. how long do I take this out for as my plan is to go on to a retirement visa. At 50 years old with no previous illness what is an average price?... any help would be much appreciated.... Best reply... beers on me 🍻🍻😅
