Hi guys I’m a university student and on an Ed visa, also due for a visa extension at the end of next month. My university has told me that now people from countries who require police clearances for extensions have to do police clearance every 3 months and they are not valid for 1yr anymore. Anyone else heard of this? TIA

Is there anyone here who lives in Hat Yai or has spent time there. I can find very little about it other than local tourism and Wikie.

Thanks

I am in possession of kor ror 2 and kor ror 3.

But I can’t find any papers that we submitted to meet the marriage criteria in Section 6.1, 6.1.3:

‘A copy of letter certifying marital status before registration of marriage (a copy of letter certifying that the applicant is single)

In absence of such a letter, a cop therof can be obtained from the District Office where the marriage was registered’

Marriage was registered at the registration office in Phra Nakhon District 20th January 2003.

I'm supposed to do my 90 day reporting on 10th of June, but I'm going to England on 9th June for a while. So I don't need to do the reporting?

Thanks in advance

Hey guys. I can't find definitive answer and it's really annoying as it's nowhere said it can't be done like described below.

Is it okay to go abroad, apply for DTV and come back on visa exemption then wait in Thailand for DTV?

I asked two visa offices and one said "yes, you can come back" and other "no, you must stay abroa until approved". 🫣😅

Hey everyone, enjoy reading the posts here. I’m heading over to Thailand mid to end of July for around 5 weeks. Coming from Australia. Not a big partier. Would love to travel around a bit see as much as I can. And meet the local people. My question is quite broad, wondering what are the must see places to visit Also wondering if there might be something that needs to be done that often gets forgotten in preperation for the trip, even if you think it might be the simplest of things? Anybody recommend a travel insurance that’s suited for Thailand. Also thanks in advance for any replies.

I read on an common agency website, that if I enter thailand with visa exemption stamp, i can still apply for a marriage visa at the local thai immigration office providing I meet the requirements for the 90 day Non-O visa.

This is confusing as

1. It seems to suggest I have to apply for the Type O visa as I havd to meet the requirements for it.

2. I don’t have the Thai bank account as it cannot be opened without a Type O visa.

Don’t get me wrong, im not getting my hopes up by relying on this route to a marriage visa.

Are my ‘doubts’ correct?
