I am applying from Vietnam and I was asked to translate my documents. I went to 2 translations office and they both told me very high prices (115€ for what I need). But the guy that I talked to told me it’s very common for this type of demand that I translate the document myself and they just put their stamp on it. I’m a bit scared, what do you guys think ?
Someone else has experiences with a second request for extra documents. I was already requested for extra documents which I uploaded last Saturday. Asking for all passport pages even empty one, resume/cv, showing my work.
But now I received the following message about even more documents. I applied through the Vietnamese embassy in Ho Chi Minh, as I'm currently in Danang.
* Other request documents: Provide company registration in original language and official ENGLISH translation. (An official translation is a translation that has been translated by a translation company with confirmation that the translation is true to the original.)
* Other request documents: Please provide evidence of all previous employment listed in your CV, including employment contracts from former companies, photos taken at previous workplaces, and any other relevant documentation.

Not visa related - more anything else. I intend to marry in Thailand and have the certified marital status document and passport copy from the British Embassy. I believe the next step it to have these documents translated to Thai and then authorised. Does anyone know an authorised translation service in Jomtien/Pattaya that can translate at a reasonable cost (without using an agent)? Thanks in advance for constructive replies.
Anyone been to minstry of foreign affairs in Laksi last few days? I hear reports it's been affected by the earthquake. If that's the case, is it anywhere else you can get papers translated and the legalized stamp?
I am wondering if anyone has had recent experience with a civil partnership / same-sex marriage registration process in Thailand? If so, I really would appreciate some help with the paperwork process/ requirements. i am a UK citizen, and I know I will need a Marital Status Affiramation, however, when i go to apply on the ukgov site for this, it still says that civil partnerships are not recognised in Thailand, so i have hit a wall before i even start .... any advice/expereince?
