Just sharing today’s exprience in Don Mueng. I used the Thai passport lane as I was traveling with my thai wife. I had filled out the DTAC, and handed it to the immigration officer, who proceeded to totally ignored it. He did not want to see it or the barcode, and just went into the passport to look for the visa stamp.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat shared an experience at Don Muang Airport where immigration officers ignored the DTAC documentation during passport control, citing that it is unnecessary as the information is already in their system. Several comments echoed this sentiment, asserting that officers can access filed documentation directly through their databases, leading to questions about the need for the QR code and its actual utility. Overall, the discussion reveals mixed experiences with immigration processes and questions about compliance with digital documentation.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be tdac.in.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Wonder what would happen if you didn't do it. They make it a requirement. What immigration do with it is of no consequence
Claire *****
sg also requires travellers to fill up something similar. and they never asked to see it. would you risk not doing it?
Christopher ******
The spelling is the same as ur last name ..
John *******
I do it for Singapore, Malaysia and maybe other countries, so what's the problem if it speeds up immigration wonderful
Chip ********
I did mine at the kiosk at the airport, the IO did ask to see it, maybe those kiosks don't update their system in real time.
David ********
I don't know why everyone is so concerned. It's a simple task and it's recorded on the immigration system. It's no big deal for the average traveller but the Thai government is saying to track undesirables so let's just comply and see what happens. I don't care either way

you either want to come to Thailand or stay another country your choice 😷🧛

Exactly my case the other day - tdac is just a bit of keeping you busy for 3 min - that is why i hope teuly and sincerely hope this is one step to a full digital system for foreigners tourist or on visa or retirement or ltr

Imagine, Thai Immigration has something called COMPUTER, and the welcoming officer can see in his system whether you did your job properly or not
Ian ********
I came into suvarnabhumi 5 may didn’t fill out dtac but have retirement extension, no questions, let me through straight away
Tony *********
It's already in the system so I don't understand why they bother giving us a QR code ?
Andy ********
@Tony ********
it is not a perfect world and from time to time things go wrong. The QR code is obviously a back up fot those times.
Tod *********
@Tony ********
SOME entry points want to see the QR code (I was told but can't verify)
Paul *******
@Tod ********
Surely all of them can see whether you've done it? I won't be printing out or showing any QR code. I'll just tell them I've done it.
Tod *********
@Paul ******
there have been reports of people being told when they went to scan their passport in to stamp in that they didn't file the TDAC and then they were directed to the Kiosks to file one

Just telling someone you'd done it isn't gonna cut much ice I would wager
Paul *******
@Tod ********
No, if you've actually done one, they would know. That's the point! I'm not talking about people who didn't do one. If I've actually done one, I don't need to show them proof. They would be able to see it in their system. If they claim that they can't see it, then that's their problem. I would simply explain I've done it.
Tod *********
@Paul ******
you would hope that all the entry points to thailand are on the same data base 😛
Ryan ********
@Tod ********
if you find out tell us which ones please. hopefully it’s none of them.
Tod *********
They don't want to see it and you don't have to print it out, as soon as they scan your passport into the system they can see whether you filed or not on their screen.

Thanx for the update,
Colin ********
