I just received an email for requested documents for my DTV application, but I don't know what to submit. Even tho I submitted most of supported documents in the original application.

Here is the list of requested documents:

1. A copy of the company's registration/business license along with GST registration

I do not have a registered business. I work as a freelancer with independant monthly contracts. What documents should I submit here? Can I submit my client's LLC? What else should I submit to support my case?

2. Flight details and Hotel accommodation

I had submitted the flight number (no tickets) & agoda hotel bookings. Do I need to book a flight now and submit the ticket itself?

My hotel bookings were booked on 'pay later/free cancellation' option. And they have expired, do i need to rebook or should i just submit the pdf that was submitted in the original application?

3. A foreign employment contract or employment certificate

I do not have a employee certificate, although I do have a few client's contracts. I was also advised to add a letter head and stamp of your name at the top of the contract. What do you suggest?

4. Copies of all pages of the passport

I can submit these.

PS. I am applying at the Mumbai's thai consular in India. From other's experience, they tend to look for strong proof of regular employment and if one can sustain themselves in thailand.

I am very grateful for this group and the people in this community helping each other out . Thank you so much to everybody! All respectful opinions are appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I am planning to apply for the DTV soft visa (thinking about applying in Indonesia), but I am facing a timing issue and would appreciate some advice.

I need to leave Thailand in mid September. One of the requirements is to show 500,000 THB in a bank account for 3 months. The account has only been funded since the end of August, so technically the 3-month period would run through August, September, and October.

My questions:

* Does it make sense to wait until early October and then apply, since it would be around 3 months, or is it a strict requirement that I need to complete the full 3 months?

* Should I try applying already in mid September, when I leave Thailand, for example in Indonesia or another embassy, or would that be a waste of time if the funds have not been in the account long enough?

* If I really need to wait, what would you recommend in the meantime? Should I just get another visa exempt entry? This would be my third this year, and I hold an EU passport.

Thanks for any advice from people who have gone through this process.

I was just approved for workcation DTV in Athens Greece in about 24 hours. Applied 3 sept approved 4 sept. USA passport. For the 500k, I moved the money into my checking account a few days before my aug statement generated. I did provide 2 more prior months but it was a brokerage account and business account. I donโ€™t know if it was necessary. I also made a pdf of examples of my work and business registration documents and a cover letter. I was surprised how easy and fast it was.

๐Ÿ”˜This post might be of particular interest for non English natives speakers ๐Ÿ”˜

Got my DTVisa Thai Soft Powers / Muay Thai approved just a few days ago via the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta. If I would have handed my bank account statement in English right away when submitting my application, I would have been approved by the embassy three days earlier. The whole procedure of getting approved did take exactly seven days from submitting my application only until receiving the positive feedback by eMail. DIY bank account statement translation was accepted. They also requested photos of my ENTIRE passport (every empty page until the very last page included). If you're not comfortable with uploading the most personal data of yours to some PDF size shrinking website tool, you'll have to stay kind of patient to make a whole passport documentation fit inside a 3 megabyte PDF.

Indonesia's / Jakarta's Thai Embassy seems more accommodating or propitious compared to what I read about people's impressions from Vientiane (Laos), Hanoi (Vietnam) not to mention Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). No personal interview, no further bank account investigations on scene etc. .

The only inconvenient thing referring my personal case was when I faced the immigration at Chiang Mai airport and the officer really tried to dig inside my application's details or my personal motivation. Like which Muay Thai school I'm going to attend ( where it is located exactly and the actual name of it) and what my current occupation is. Especially the last question was kind of deceptive regarding the fact that it's obvious that I'm not allowed to work while being on a DTVisa Thai Soft Powers.

My personal experience suggests, that going to Indonesia only for submitting your DTVisa application is definitely worth and preferable when looking for the "right" Thai Embassy in South East Asia.

I hope my given impressions might help anyone who's up for a similar approach to receive a DTVisa.

Good luck to everyone ๐Ÿ™

Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well. I had a question as I am applying for DTV visa as a Nepali passport holder. I am applying through the embassy in Nepal and I have remote employment in a US company through which I can provide the required documents such as contract and stuff. My only questions is for the bank statements of 500,000 THB do I need to show the ending balance of that amount along with 3 months bank statements or does it need to be there for 3-6 months. Please let me know. Thank you!
