How can I obtain a motorbike driver's license in Thailand with a DTV visa?

Hello,

I have a question regarding getting a motorbike driver’s license. I hope it can fit in the group.

Currently, I only have an international driver’s license for cars, but not for motorcycles. I’m staying in Thailand on a DTV visa in Pattaya.

Could you recommend a trustworthy driving school or agency that could help me obtain a motorbike driver’s license?

I already know how to ride a motorbike and I’m familiar with the traffic rules. However, I’ve had trouble finding reliable information online. I tried searching on Google and Facebook, but I came across a lot of misleading information—and even some scammers. One person messaged me offering a license for 1,500 baht, claiming they could pass the test for me and complete everything in two days (which obviously sounds suspicious).

I’m not sure where to start. Many guides say I’ll need an address certificate from immigration, but I have no idea how to get that with a DTV visa.

I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction, or recommend a legitimate agency that can help me with the process at a reasonable cost—ideally with minimal hassle.

Just to clarify, I want to go through the process legally and take the tests myself. I’m only looking for help with booking appointments, finding an English-speaking school/exam, and getting things like the address certificate sorted.

Thank you in advance for any help or recommendations! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat residing in Thailand on a DTV visa seeks guidance on obtaining a motorbike driver’s license. They possess an international driver’s license for cars but need to sort out a motorcycle license. The individual has identified the need for an address certificate from immigration but is uncertain about the specific steps to take. They are looking for reliable recommendations for driving schools/agents, emphasizing their desire to go through the process legally while requiring assistance with scheduling appointments and English-speaking schools.

If you have a rent certificate or lease then take that to immigration and ask for a residency certificate.

Then off to the riding school for you.
