What options do I have if my marriage visa is still under consideration before my flight?

I hope someone can help me with this. I came in using a Visa exempt on arrival. Later I got it changed to a marriage Visa ( I think ) it expired Oct 28. So I thought by then I would get the year Visa. I have already got the funds into the Bank but instead I got the under consideration that says I must be back in on Nov 27 for my year stamp. My problem is using the Oct date I thought I'd be alright so I purchased a round trip ticket to America leaving Oct 31. We called about a week ago and explained it to the IO working with us. He said that he would put me on fast track so I could get it in time. We called today and ask him and he said it was still in process. I have all week until Friday so that might still work out. Just in case it doesn't does anyone know of anything I can do. Can I buy a reentry permit being under consideration. What different options does the group suggest. Thanks to everyone in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a dilemma regarding their marriage visa application which is still under consideration, while they have a flight booked to America shortly after the visa's expiration. They are seeking advice on whether they can obtain a re-entry permit during this period, and other possible options to resolve their situation. Various commenters suggest that it is possible to get a re-entry permit but warn about the implications of traveling during the under consideration phase, including potential home visits by immigration. Additionally, they recommend discussing the matter directly with immigration officers for clarity and guidance.

You should have told the officer when you were applying what your plan was and see if they could fix it.

If it's doesn't come in time and you cannot be here, then you will have to start over.

Maybe when it was time critical using a visa agent would of solved your situation. Sure it would have been cheaper doing it yourself. When I got my first retirement visa I used an agent Everything was done in time because like you I was leaving the country in one month. Then on return you start process all over again.

You should have done everything by the book. It is a well known fact that when a 1-year Extension of stay permit is issued with the reason "married to a Thai wife", the extension will always be issued for "4 weeks under consideration", during which period Immigration is going to do a home visit, and they expect YOU and the WIFEY to be present! They will ask your neighbours if you really live together and if your marriage is real. Then after the under consideration period you can pick up the stamp for the rest of the 1-year extension. You are NOT supposed to do any travelling until you have been issued the full stamp, and you are not supposed to buy any re-entry permit, because ist cannot and would not be sold for just the 4-weeks of consideration period by any Immigration just because it is NOT part of the procedure . . . . the re-entry permit can however be had for the full extent of the 12-months extension - once you got it definitely issued!

not quite true - in August my wife and I traveled to Hong Kong during the consideration period. Immigration issued me a reentry permit good to the day I had to pick up my one year extension.

this depends on the Immigration . . . . . his Immigration would have suggested it, if it was possible, however they didn't and put his application into "fast track" mode instead

Get the list of requirements from your local office, ask any questions of confusion here and then take all the correct paperwork to immigration once, a simple process.

Why dont people go into immagration and get this sorted? Instead of asking here?

because here people often receive conflicting advice. Hence it is always better to go directly to Immigration with such questions.

Especially since different Immigration Offices have different rules.

Imagine how busy immigration offices would be if we all just went there to ask the same questions over and over, they’d be even happier to see us than they are now.

You also need to factor in the home visit from Immigration during the under consideration period, you need to be available for that.

You can do a re-entry permit under visa consideration period, so your visa doesn’t get void. But have to get back before the Nov 27 for your extension stamp collection.

Speak to the immigration officer. You can buy a re-entry permit which would only be good for the under consideration period but now you have started a fast track process there's no guessing when that would be
