TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion highlights that health insurance is not required for a Non-O visa but is mandatory for a Non-OA visa. The community member seeks a list of accepted Thai health insurance companies for visa applications, while others confirm the requirement differences between the two visa types.

It’s only a single entry and yeah you can do it in your home county or any country in the works before coming to Thailand .

I did not think you could get multiple entry Non O when applying from home. You buy that later at the immigration or airport I thought but happy for people to advise otherwise.

How much (price) did you pay for your Thai E–Visa Application at the Thai Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand???

Did you pay NZD $800 Dollars, NZD $2000 Dollars, or some other amount???

Did you pay with your bank Visa/MasterCard??

I don’t understand this post at all. How on earth can you be asked for health insurance for a Non O? It is NOT a requirement. Just get health insurance from NZ for your own peace of mind.

As others have already stated, it is required for a Non OA, not Non O.

There are actually some people who apply for a Non O-A visa and know exactly what they’re doing.

by the way I have bought OA health insurance for a year it was 8000b but it’s not for my non O as there is none under the 13 Thai providers.

Do you think this will work if I send it in?

@Andrew *****
You must check that the insurance meets the requirements set by the embassy here. If it is not a Thai insurance policy, I guess you must fill out the certificate for foreign insurance.

Okay, that’s a strict embassy. If you want an approved health insurance, you’ll either have to choose a company from the list or apply to have another one approved using the form from the attached link.

Then you need to book your ticket with a return flight if that suits you. Otherwise, you can just get a cheap throwaway ticket out of Thailand.

You’ll also need to include the booking. If you don’t want to book much of your stay now, you can use a hotel service that allows free cancellation after the booking has been confirmed.

Bad link, try to copy past in a web browser. Here’s the form anyway.

What visa are you applying for? The non-O doesn't need insurance but the Non-OA does and there's a list of who they accept I think.
