Once you have a DTV. Each time you enter how much do you need to pay? I want to return in January for a few weeks then leave again... but curious what the entrance fee is.

Hey guys!

I'm a US citizen looking to get my DTV in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. I wanted help with the best practices/EXACT paperwork and docs needed so i get the least amount of additional requests or needless holdups:

I am a remote worker with an LLC although i'm fine doing soft power (muay thai or language) if that is a similar alternative. Which would be better?

Any advice and guidance would be super appreciated 🙏

Posting anon as no one knows our plans yet.

I’ve looked on here and can’t seem to find an answer. So hoping someone can help.

We plan on entering Thailand in Jan 2025. If I apply for a DTV now, if approved, how long do you have to fly in to Thailand?

Just trying to gauge when we should apply to the UK embassy.

Thank you in advance

Can anyone enter Thailand with the DTV visa online just by showing the visa on their cell phone or do they only accept the printed visa?

Hi wanted to mention Quees Victoria Inn on Soi 6 did a great job yesterday orchestrating a quick visa run to Penom Phen Cambodia for a quick in and out exchanging my tourist visa stamp to my new DTV one that got approved almost two months ago. I'm sure some could have figured out how to drive themselves there, but I was more concerned with not wanting to spend a night or more there if I didn't have to. Queen Vic got 7 of us there and back by 2:49pm comfortably. It seemed like the first time the Immigration lady saw a DTV printed out as she asked me how much I had to pay for it.

DTV visa experience as a couple in Taipei (1x approved, 1x rejected) - Remote Work (both self-employed with our own companies)

âś… Each of us prepared the following documents:

- application form with one passport photo

- Copy of our passport

- Application letter

- Service contract with one client in German language

- IRS document from our L.L.C. with the EIN

- Invoices and payments from 3 clients (in the past 6 months)

- Official Bank statement (from our private bank account + business bank account) -

- Proof of savings account (with more than 500.000 Baht)

So we went to the Embassy at 9am to hand over our documents and should come back the same day at 3.30 pm to pay for our visas and the next day we should be able to pick it up.

❗️First important thing: only a screenshot from the bank account overviews isn’t enough.

My boyfriends’ documents were accepted on that first day. 💪

❌ Mine were not.

These were the reasons:

- They wanted to have my service contract in English

- I wrote “partner” instead of “client” in the application letter. And also I wrote “we” instead of “I” one time.

- My passport cover was not looking good anymore so they said even if I handed them all my documents in the way they asked me for they couldn’t give me the visa.

So be careful with that please.

Luckily I have a 2nd passport.. but it was in Bangkok.

So my boyfriend flew straight to Bangkok to get my second passport for me and flew straight back to Taipei (all during one night) so the next morning I applied again.

In the end I finally got accepted as well.

I am very grateful that I have it now and that my boyfriend supported me in such a great way - I hope this post can help you✨🫶

Immigration Experience

------------------------

I am the one who posted about ED visa and re-entry permit and this is the update post. I arrived in Thailand this morning and gave my DTV printed page and passport to the officer. She looks confused about which stamp she had to make. Then I showed my cancellation letter (not original but copy) then she smiled and Stamped DTV 180 days. I'm very happy that everything goes smoothly except the airline check-in counter. That Airline check-in counter really messes up that saying my passport has no visa stamp I mean wdh xD Then I just told them I'm going for a free visa because I am an Asian.
