Good luck with it. Preparation and organization of the documents is key to success I think. In my case the IO didn’t say anything to me she only spoke to my wife in Thai so I just listened in and it worked out fine.
Yesterday I gave them 2 copies of the 6 months transaction list and they asked to see the original to verify them so I am sure that it’s needed. I believe that it’s required so they can verify the 2 months seasoning of 400k. Your bank book might show rolled up ( summarized) transactions in case you don’t update it regularly so it doesn’t necessarily confirm that you meet the requirements whereas the transaction list shows every transaction. I did the letter, transaction print and passbook update in about 20 minutes at my bank for a total fee of 200 Baht so you might as well do all three at the same time. Don’t forget to pay in any amount of money to your account on the day you update your passbook so it has an entry ( and balance) on the day that you apply.
What do you mean Bangkok wanted a lot more than that? Did you apply for extension based on retirement or marriage? I actually gave them 4 photos inside the condo just to make sure.
I have been in Thailand since 2019 on a Thailand Elite visa ( and many years before on non B’s) which gives you the ability to open bank accounts easily so I opened an account in February transferred the funds in then popped out to Penang in May to get a non O visa then applied for the stay extension today with 41 days left on my current entry. I think the requirement is to demonstrate 400k seasoned for 2 months so if your account is less than 6 months old you just need a minimum of 2 months statement to demonstrate that you meet the requirement.
Sorry I misread the stamp. It is UC until 25 July and there is a paper in my passport stating that my next 90 days report is due on 3rd October. It will be interesting to see if I can do it online.
Yet again we can’t stress enough about the importance of checking your passport before leaving immigration on arrival and make things easier for the IO by presenting your passport to the immigration officer open on the visa page if you have one.
