TLDR : Answer Summary
The user submitted their 90-day TM 47 report online but is concerned about not receiving a response by the due date. Responses indicate that online submissions can be rejected if submitted too close to the due date and that they can report in-person within 7 days after the due date without penalty. The user confirmed their submission was rejected and planned to visit the Bangkok immigration office, asking if additional documents are needed beyond their TM 47 form and passport.

Thanks everyone - got appointment for Friday (thank you
@Bra****
for the steer on that) - I have reflected and last time IO only asked for TM47 and my Passport, I recall I was not asked for TM30 receipt (never had one - have Yellow Book as formally registered at my wife’s house with local Authority Office) - lets see what Friday brings (taking all docs just to be safe!!!

Thank you everyone - it has been rejected as
@El***
and
@Bra****
indicated - a day out at Bangkok immigration it is for me

Trying to remember if I need anything other than my TM47 and passport???

You want to bring to report in person in Bangkok:

- Passport

- TM30 receipt

- The last 90-day report receipt if you haven't left Thailand since the last one

- a copy of TM6 departure card if you were issued on the last entry

has raised a point and I cannot seem to find the answer as to TM30 - my wife got me registered on the property when I arrived and yellow book issued - my wife was advised that this negates need for TM30 to be raised? When I attended to get my first Visa extension the Yellow book was presented (not a TM30) - my first 90 day sign on did not require my production of TM30 or a receipt? I cannot seem to find answer anywhere - I don’t want Friday to be a waste and deadline (ie 7 days) becomes a fine or worse? Any advice as to where to find answer? The original TM30 was submitted by my wife on line when I arrived and there has been no changes and so I am assuming that it remains current on system until a change occurs ie we move? All a bit confusing? Sorry - just found answer - TM30 no expiry just needs re-submitting if leave/re-enter country or move. Thank you again Ellie

, Your TM30 record is still valid. As your TM30 receipt has already been submitted, and you have proof of the same address (yellow book) that might be why they didn't ask you for a receipt.

Still, there could be a possibility of being asked for a receipt.

In that case, tell them you don't have a copy, no changes since registering. They just let it go or tell you to get one. If you are directed to get a receipt, go to the TM30 counter for that. As you bring your yellow book, it's not difficult to re-submit or get a receipt there.

That makes sense. If your wife submitted the TM30 previously and you haven’t left the country since then that TM30 will still be valid and will show up in the system when the IO checks. It will also validate your submission if you do an online 90 day report. My questions were based on the understanding that you or your wife had never submitted a TM30. All clear now 😃

@El***
- I don’t know about TM30 as I do have a yellow book so will take that - I havent left the country so that should be it. Thank you again.

Is a yellow book an acceptable substitute for a TM30? Have you used it in the past for that purpose?

@St***
, I believe that is all that I have - I am registered local offices as this is the house that I live with my wife

I understand that but the TM30 submission is a report of when you are there dates etc so I am curious as to why they would accept the Yellow Book as a substitute for that. That’s why I wondered if you had ever used it for 90 day report purposes before. Have you? I am interested to know because if having a yellow book means that you don’t have to submit a TM30 it would make it a much more useful document. I wonder how immigration would know that you have one when you do online 90 day reports unless the district office system is connected to the immigration system.

@St***
- with hindsight on my first 90 day (September) I took all documents just in case (including yellow book - BUT NOT TM30) - the IO did not ask for any other document except my PASSPORT - online application just produces and submits TM47 (no other docs asked for) - the only reason it was rejected was that I had diaried incorrectly and missed minimum 7 days before date. Going on Friday (appointment) - I will endeavour to update.

I wonder if Yellow book is just acceptable for in person 90 day report purposes. The test will be when you try to submit an online report next time. I understand that the TM47 system looks at the TM30 system when you do an online report which is why you don’t need to upload a TM30 notification when you submit an online report. Anyway good luck and look forward to hearing your feedback after you visit immigration on Friday.

@St***
, my wife was told by district office because I am registered at the address (ie not a visitor) and have been recorded on to system that my wife did not need to complete any further TM30 (original was submitted on line and no changes - so believe still current)?

@Andy ********
Excellent. Thanks for the information

check to see if they have any appointments available as well
Matt *******
Wait a few days, you can still go in person up to 7 days after the due date with no penalty.
Bob **********
You waited to long you’ll have to go in person it has to be at least 7 days in advance
Tod *********
Well with the due date the 4th you have until 11th to go file in person if it gets rejected so just watch for the email
Lisa ********************
You should get email/ notification to say submitted, then can take a few days for response.
Ellie *******
Your 90-day report online may be rejected, as the online reporting window is now 15 days before until 7 days before the due date.

You have 7 days after the due date to report in person at the local immigration office. You can go tomorrow or a few days later.

Check the status of your report on the system before you go to the local office. Better to cancel if it's still pending when you go, to avoid any confusion.

@Ellie ******
- you are absolutely correct - I have just got a rejection and so it’s off to Immigration tomorrow - as it is the Bangkok office as identified by
@Bra****
. Thank you, ooh a day out
Chelsea ********
@Ellie ******
do you mean we can now only report online up to a week before the due date but within a week (or less) before the due date we have to do it in-person?

That's strange but thanks for saying - I hadnt heard that!
Ellie *******
@Chelsea *******
, yes, at least Bangkok says this now
Brandon ************
@Chelsea *******
that's what Bangkok has been doing. Other offices may be different.
