TLDR : Answer Summary
The legalization of a UK passport at the embassy typically requires only the ID and details pages, not the entire passport. It's essential to ensure you can provide acceptable proof of address, as some individuals may face difficulties proving their current residence, even if they've lived abroad for a long time.
Beware of the requirement to provide proof of address. I have lived in Thailand for decades but don’t have acceptable proof of address for my Thailand address so I ended up having to use my valid UK driving license as proof of address even though I haven’t lived there for many years.
yes quite funny hey? And specifically for “money laundering regulations” you end up putting an address you haven’t lived at for ages?! Sure! Got my yellow book now though so that’ll work if I ever need anything from them again.
you have to upload the scans, then pay. Then they send you a link to book an appointment, you go, check details and collect your paperwork. Took about 15 mins in the actual embassy. (AIA Tower, next to St.Louis BTS station).
