In most cases I'd rather be stupid than a tool. But in your case it seems maybe you enjoy being both? š¤·š»āāļø
What's funny here is you're just throwing shit about something that has nothing to do with you, don't you have better things to do than to shame people who are asking for help?
The question may make him a fool, but your response makes you a tool.
Shaming the OP for a hypothetical āsomeone who might be overstatingā answering the question, is a bit silly when thought of that way isnāt it?
The person who asks the question gets to ask, heās not forcing anyone to answer. Even if the question isnāt phrased perfectly, that doesnāt negate the inquiry and intention.
Letās not sensationalize things.. itās been only 2 land border per year for years and years. And itās always been written policy that people can be rejected for having too many visa, but itās always been arbitrary and (as with many things) used as needed.
Iām confused why.. if itās on the official website.. people still seem confused and even argue as it whether it a good idea or even needed..
Why would someone *not just have this in hand, just in case. Itās like they want their not wanting to confirmed by a random person on the internet.. worse are those who donāt simply have whatās asked, but then get angry at the IO when theyāre denied. Same applies for tourist visa applications.
Itās baffling to me.. whatās the logic here..? š¤·š»āāļø
Goodness the reading comprehension of this groupā¦ š
You have nothing to worry about. When you arrive youāll be marked as a visa exempt, which gives you 30 days. You can then get a 30 day extension (regardless of how many you need) at the immigration office which your can find on google maps, for 1900b. The second 30 days begin the day after your original 30 days.
I'm writing this from a comfy spot in Chiangmai. Here's what I can share and know to be true (based off my experience).
- American emergency passports are valid for 1 year and can get you in, out, and around most places (apparently different depending on the passport)
- There is no changing of visa's at the airport, or need to
- I showed both passports, explained the situation, they stamped the emergency with 2 months (technically only got 59 days but whatever), and the TR in the old/void passport as used
- No fuss, no drawn out process, the IO called over to someone, and the person was able to give instruction without coming over or seeing the passports
- I'll need to show both passports when asked for the duration of my stay and upon exit
- People in these groups will say whatever comes to mind, whether it seems true, is true, is valid, or relevant
- People want to be helpful, even if most have no idea what they're talking about, are going off old information, or it's literally here-say and antidotal
- Most can't be bothered or won't take the time to actually read what's actually being asked
- Thick skin and discernment is required if you're to get any real insight or guidance here
I got mine from Hanoi, and had no issues because I provided Exactly what is currently listed on their website, which was a flight To Thailand, and a Return ticket to Vietnam, along with a stack of paper that was 6 months of statements. I would imagine HCM would ask the same, and would recommend looking at their website instead of here-say. Best of luck šæ
