last couple years I had no problems with 1 week hotel booked and 90 day return flight, this year they wanted full accommodation and said I could send them a signed letting saying I would take responsibility for extending my visa and any costs from overstay.
I booked a cancelable 3 month stay through Agoda and worked fine
as someone who’s had to deal with misinformed airline staff it’s not fun and you better be as polite as you can and have the documentation on hand.
Can’t assume anything when it’s a mess like this and at the end of the day it’s your own ass that gets fried so better off doing some extra due diligence.
when they announce new rules the day before then make an emergency change it’s a bit of a mess, if you’re not vaccinated you can test on arrival.
AFAIK the only way you are denied boarding currently would be if your country of departure requires a Covid test to enter that means you need Covid insurance to fly to Thailand…..but that’ll probably change again tomorrow
