Hi,

I want to apply for METV. Planning to stay 60+30 days extension the first time. Can the exit plane ticket from Thailand I send to the embassy for visa application be at day 89 or it has to be within the first 60 days?

Also, for METV, do they require return plane ticket to your country of origin or any exit plane ticket from Thailand (ex. Malaysia, Japan) will be good?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the requirements for exit plane tickets for a METV visa application and whether the ticket can be for day 89 or must be within the first 60 days. Comments emphasize that requirements vary by embassy and nationality, pointing out that any exit ticket is acceptable, but some embassies may request a specific itinerary including a return ticket or second entry ticket. The user also considers applying for a SETV from Vietnam after their first METV and asks about the residency proof needed for applications in different countries.

What if I do 2 SETV instead. Let's say first one I get from Romanian embassy. Then after 90 days in Thailand, I go to Vietnam and apply for SETV there. The Romania embassy have a rule: "7. ID or residence permit as a proof of permanent residency in Romania or Bulgaria and a copy of the document". So I can apply only if I am a resident of Bulgaria/Romania (which I am). Is it possible to apply in Vietnam? Won't they require the same rule - that I have residency in Vietnam? In case it is possible, will an exit ticket to Europe be okay, or they will want round trip back to Vietnam?

Any exit ticket is fine, there they allow +/- 60 days depends on the embassy

You can apply with the 60+ and if they aren’t satisfied they will email and ask you to amend

They will want an exit ticket from Thailand and maybe even a second entry ticket

So, I have to invest in multiple plane tickets and if I get denied a visa, I have to stomach the financial loss of these tickets?

Different Embassies have different requirements so to get a meaningful answer give your passport nationality, your country of residence and the Embassy you will be applying to (if eVisa it's the country you are in when you apply)
