Just did my Covid extension at Surat Thani Immigration, last year I paid 3000 but they must have thought I was cute this year because they only charged me 1900.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully obtained a Covid extension at Surat Thani Immigration, paying 1900 baht this year as opposed to 3000 baht last year. Required documents included a TM.30 form, copies of the passport ID page, entry and extension stamps, one passport photo, and a personal copy of the visa. The process took 20-25 minutes. There was some discussion regarding the validity period of the extensions, fees charged by immigration officers, and differing experiences among individuals seeking extensions.
yea and what are you going to do when you go the last day of your visa and they tell you 3000 for a Covid extension that’s up to them if they give you one or not.
We know what the cost should be but that’s not always what you get charged in Thailand.
and when you go and they tell you 3000, and you say no I’m only going to pay 1900 and you get denied you can tag as many people on Facebook as you want 🙃
Been getting ‘Covid’ extensions since may 2020 here.. Does anyone know for sure that this has changed? I’ll be due another extension 25th March - I’m told only option to remain may be a 90 day Medical Visa..??
Hello sir!!! It's your first time to get COVID visa?? ...we need help what we will do my friend should get COVID visa today in petchaburi for the 3rd time but imgration refuse to giver her anymore COVID visa...please anyone experience this one any suggestion please🙏🙏🙏
plenty of them do put people under consideration, and I would bet if they offered an extra 1100 for a same day stamp instead of going back in 2 weeks quite a few people would be more then happy to pay. Just because they CAN doesn’t mean much at the end of the day 🤷♂️
I went today because it doesn’t matter if I lose a couple days, I got a “under consideration” stamp and told to come back on the 26th for my extension stamp
At several immigration offices do they offer the stamp for 60 days without under consideration for 3000THB Saves you time and another visit to the office and is therefore often worth the extra 1100THB.
that’s why I’m posting about getting charged the proper amount and where, as klaus said last year I paid 3000 and got it the same day, but I went for a 30 day regular extension and they offered me the Covid extension and I knew nothing about it or how much it was supposed to be so I paid the 3000.
