I have got 60 day tourist visa, but my flight is on the 61st day. Would that considered as overstay?

Appreciate your responses.

Update (Dec 24, 2023),

I checked it with the passport control guy who stamped my passport. He said that is not going to be a problem as long as I leave within 24 hours after the last day indicated on my passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster holds a 60-day tourist visa and is concerned about departing on the 61st day. After checking with a passport control official, they learned that departing within 24 hours after the visa expiry should not be a problem. Community members contributed insights, emphasizing that while technically it may be considered an overstay, many have had similar experiences without facing penalties. Discussions also noted that each case could depend on the discretion of the immigration officer and the policies of the airline during check-in.

Yes but no big I had same situation, they did put a small stamp in my passport and no fine. In and out a lot since with no issues. A day is not a problem they understand

It's not a problem if you make it that far, if you don't it can have very serious consequences

no, not at all. If you overstay in Thailand, you are definitely paying. The flight staff at check in have absolutely nothing to do with it

Double check your counting knowing that the day you arrive is day 1. This puts a lot of people an extra day in Thailand as well

You don't get the dreaded "OVERSTAY" stamp, you get a smaller one that says "One day overstay, fine waived"
