yes. They will send the letter. My insurance covers the physical 100 percent. So it is free to me. Also, both my wife and I had one last year.

I don’t think they look to hard concerning medical issues. I am going to do it with my annual physical at BKK hospital. Remember, you can get a DTV for a basket weaving class.

Note if you have your Thai wife with you at passport control you end up going in a line where the officer may not speak any English, since the line is for Thai nationals that can’t use the autogates. So you don’t seem to get questioned much.

Oh. Back to your original question. When you apply online, you have to select a consulate of the country that you are currently in or you are a resident of. As to the ticket, they just want to know when you will be arriving. So if you are a resident of UK and are flying to Paris before going to BKK, just how that in your itinerary. At least that is what I found when I applied for my 90-day Spousal Visa. FYI, going to Thailand and leaving Thailand is so much easier when going through immigration. Meaning you get to go through the Thai Passport Immigration line which is usually short because Thais usually use the autogates.

Why would you apply for a 60 day visa. Just go there and extend near 30 days.

that would make since. However in Khon Kaen when I needed the letter for my bank account and my license, they required the 90 report which was quite easy. So I think as usual it all depends on which office you are going through. After all this is Thailand and there are no absolutes.

Why not just apply for an non o e visa outside of the country and get 90 days?

whatever. I have a 90 day o visa for November that I will be entering on next month. It was pretty easy to get.

Best to apply for a Thai Visa online before you go. It's an electronic VISA, so you don't need to go to the consulate. I believe you can get a 90 VISA, and then get it extended in Thailand.
