Hi folks, I'm from the UK and wish to apply for 60 day tourist evisa. Do you know if I can use a flight from Paris to BKK as proof of travel document as I will be in France at time of leaving for Thailand? Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen wants to apply for a 60-day tourist eVisa for Thailand while being in France and inquires if a flight from Paris to Bangkok can be used as proof of travel documents. Responses suggest that while using a flight from Paris may be acceptable, applying through the correct embassy based on location is crucial, with some users noting that showing the full itinerary, including travel from the UK to France, could suffice. The discussion highlights the complexities in visa application processes linked to the applicant's residency and travel plans.

Oh. Back to your original question. When you apply online, you have to select a consulate of the country that you are currently in or you are a resident of. As to the ticket, they just want to know when you will be arriving. So if you are a resident of UK and are flying to Paris before going to BKK, just how that in your itinerary. At least that is what I found when I applied for my 90-day Spousal Visa. FYI, going to Thailand and leaving Thailand is so much easier when going through immigration. Meaning you get to go through the Thai Passport Immigration line which is usually short because Thais usually use the autogates.

Many thanks all. Seems there is no simple answer. I might have to leave from UK to keep things on track. Or VOA from Paris and extend etc etc.

If you are applying to the Thai Embassy in London, you need to provide travel proof from UK territory. If you are applying to the Thai Embassy in Paris, you need to provide travel proof from French territory. Both embassy's websites clearly state it.

Yes we flew first from the UK. Stopped in Paris for a few days and then Paris to BKK via Singapore last year. No issue at all.

Just show them how you are getting from UK to France too.

@Vernon ********
that should make it work ✅

Unless they are already in Paris...

Then it's possible the UK Thai Embassy might say get the Thai tourist visa from the Thai Embassy in Paris.

Why would you apply for a 60 day visa. Just go there and extend near 30 days.
Christian *******
because he can extend 60 days and stay 90...

Bacause it’s easier to fill a form online before you go and get 60 days than having to go somewhere which maybe a long way away to extend another 30 days

@Michael *******
maybe he needs more than those 30 days?

I can't see why it wouldn't work, all you can do is try and if it won't fly they'll email you about it
