Coming up to the first time we need to do a 90 day check in.

Firstly, online would be preferable. Does anyone have any advice please?

Finally, I presume we want to leave it as late as possible as the next 90 days starts the day we do it. Is this correct?

Settle my mind please - can the 30 day visa exemption by air entry be used 2 times per calendar year or 2 times within a rolling 12 months period 🤞

We are in the process of moving to Retire on Koh Samui but have to be there by first week of April for Our Son's Wedding. We also sold our property but need to wait for registration before funds for the sale would be paid into our local (South African Bank.) so we will not have sufficient time to season the required funds before applying for Long term non O .(1 year) in SA.

It seems to leave us with the option of METV 's for both of us and then to open bank account ,transfer the required monies and then apply for Long term stay in Thailand after required 2 month period.

Problem here is that I saw from previous posts that Farangs can not open a Bank account using a METV?

Please advise best course of action. Thanks in advance.

Hi. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

My kids (13, 10, 9 years old) arrived into Thailand on a 60 day TR visa. Stamp in passport is until Aug 15. We are in Bangkok.

1. Do they have to be present at the Immigration office for the extention application, or can I do it for them?

2. Extention application has to be done at the main immigration in Chaeng Wattana?

3. Until what time are applications accepted? Does the immigration office tend to get busier in the mornings or afternoons?

4. Will we get this first extention right away or will we have to come back another day to pick it up?

Thank you again.

Hi, can someone who knows for sure whether or not people on the 60 days covid extension have to also do the 90 days report ( TM47) ? I was not asked to do this when I was at Samui Immigration for my extension however, my friends here on Koh Phangan at the new Immigration office here were told that they had to do it. This is very confusing and seems redundant as we would be essentially be coming back in 60 days anyway to apply for another extension ( if still allowed). Clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I went to Mukdahan Immigration today to do my 90 day report. I can’t do it online as it wrongly claims I am on 6 months overstay.

Anyway in preparation I did all of my photocopying, I was 100% ready ✅

Turns out they didn’t want photocopies due to COVID, just filled out the form and that was that.

Hi everyone. I would like some advice about the COE that is needed to fly back into Thailand. One of the requirements is to have $100000 worth of insurance medical cover. Could someone explain to me what that means exactly. Is there a way to get it in Thailand? If so , where can I?

First of all - just want to say that this group is fantastic. Thanks to all those who keep answering questions. I've been silently learning more every day. There is seriously no better place to learn about visas in Thailand than here.

My scenario:

I am about to marry a Thai and move there with him. I am hoping to find work in Thailand or have an arrangement with my current employer to work remotely in Bangkok. With that said, I am unsure about the work visa situation. I do know that as a spouse of a Thai that I would still need a non-O to stay and a work permit issued by my employer to work. However, is it possible that company A issues me a work permit but I actually work for both companies A and B? Would this be a violation? Any workarounds for the quota problem for work permits?

Many thanks for your help in advance!
