My friend was just applying and whenever he returned to the page where you put your DOB, it would change it by one day. He corrected it and when he went back, it changed it again. As long as he didn’t navigate to that page again after fixing it, it would show up correctly in the main application page. So there are definitely some glitches and it isn’t just reading passport data incorrectly.
Just be honest about where your funds came from and it might be fine. I knew someone that was doing soft power and transferring funds from their brokerage each month and that was enough to satisfy the request since they were showing the money was not earned illegally.
Did Hanoi require 6 month bank statement, or did you just choose to provide 6 months? I know they previously only required 1 month so I was wondering if it had changed. Thanks!
the person I knew did the affidavit at the US embassy. Here’s a link about it. I think with some googling about degrees and affidavits you might be able to find some more specific info. Good luck!
I’m by no means an expert on this, but as recently as a year ago I know of someone who was able to get the embassy to issue a sworn affidavit that the documents were real and then he took the affidavit and documents to immigration. This was enough to satisfy them. But if your school is sponsoring the visa, do they not have someone to guide you through the proper steps? Otherwise the documents have to go through a bit of a process in the US, but there are companies that will mail them there for you and make sure everything is done correctly.
so they gave you a 30 day extension from the 4th of May to the 3rd of June. Your original visa exemption was 45 days but the extension was a 30 day extension from your exit date, not 45 from your application date. It just happened to fall 45 days from your application date which I think is where the confusion lies.
what was the exit date on your entry stamp? I’m not aware of them ever giving 45 day extensions so are you sure it’s not 30 days after your original exit date? Regardless, currently the extension is from your current exit date not the date of application. I just had mine extended a couple weeks ago.
