Would I be able to take six months to a year of thai language classes out in town underneath the education visa and then leave the school once i'm completed with the program to then attend school at chulalong? Im a veteran and would like to use my gi bill. In my head, i would be underneath a student visa, but they would just have to change the details underneath my file.When it came for immigration. Or would they look at it like i'm applying for a second student visa... And start putting up a fuss and start scrutinizing and asking questions, regardless, they'll ask questions. Does anybody here know anyone or anything about the possibilities of approval for this visa strategy.

(FYI Searched previous discussions but didn’t find it discussed) Upon moving to Bangkok, I would like to take in-person Thai language classes. I’ve studied with a tutor these past 2 years— and am learning how to read Thai. 📖 What language schools would you recommend?!

Note: I know studying the language won’t get yah a visa.

I am holding a Singapore passport and have been in Thailand on an ED-Visa for the past year. As it will expire by this weekend, I have already cancelled it and left for Laos via land (chiang khong) today. My plan is to stay for 3 days and return to Thailand by land on Sunday.

Btw, I will be starting my thai language studies at chula in Jan 2025. Would this info be useful for the immigration to allow my re-entry? Chula has asked me to email them a copy of my entry stamp and they will prepare the paperwork for me to take to the immigration office to change my visa-exempt stamp to an ED-Visa stamp.

Will I face any issues when I pass through the Thai immigration? Will they have any extra requirements for me before I can re-enter? Eg. Cash, flight tickets...

Hi guys, I will be very happy if you help me!I have been accepted for an exchange program at Chula University. I have not yet received the necessary letter to obtain a Non-immigrant visa. I have purchased a ticket which we are worried about burning as it takes 21 working days to process the visa. Do you know if I can enter Thailand on a tourist visa and then renew it with a Non-immigrant?

Planning to live in Thailand for a whole year on a ED visa, starting from August - September. As I’m not an english native speaker, I would like to enroll in English classes.

During my language stay in Canada, I chose the language center of the University of Vancouver instead of the usual language centers because the courses seemed to be of better quality. Does anyone know if this alternative exists in Thailand?

Otherwise, any particular school to recommend? I’m looking for a light program, preferably 2x4h/week.
