DTV Muay Thai approved in 3 business days in Hanoi.

Here's me giving back to this great group with my experience:

Tuesday 17:46 - Applied online immediately when arrived to Hanoi, with the following:

- bank statement of Euro account with 6 months account details , but had over 500k THB worth only 1 week out

- Letter from Muay Thai Gym showing:

1. registration of 6 month total and 1 month paid membership

2. training course details , company registration/DBD and id of the owner

- Current location and booking: PDF with Stamp of Vietnam when landed, and Booking screenshot of my stay in Vietnam(only first 2 nights)

Wednesday 11:00 - Application moved to “pending approval”

Friday 18:00 - Approved, mail sent with the e-visa

Enter to Bangkok DMK without any questions or issues 😀

Did Hanoi require 6 month bank statement, or did you just choose to provide 6 months? I know they previously only required 1 month so I was wondering if it had changed. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing..so money in foreign accounts is ok despite in Thai bank less than a month? If this is so then we should be ok showing all money in our foreign accounts..does it need to be a chequing, savings,..how about investment accounts? Tia..

The 500k should be in a personal, readily accessible account. Investments can be used to show financial stability on top of the 500k in a personal account. Money in a foreign account is fine. Laos requires 3 months to be in your account.

That's a surprise, thought it would be 3 like Vientianne.

before i went i spent hours researching it and there's only a few reports online for that embassy. 1 or 2 good and 3 or 4 bad or something. My experience was the same. But yeh one guy reported needed 6 months there. It wouldn't make a difference though as the lady will just deny you anyway. Very bad experience

@Lalph *****
You got denied for no reason?

the ladies excuse in the end was that the name of the company on business licence didn't match the name of the gym. The gym owner was clearly named all over the business licence docoment. This lady was just looking for any excuse. That much was clear. Lots of people were having issues with her.

people signing up for a 6 month course are quite likely to not be working while attending a course halfway around the world. You can put your occupation and also say currently not employed or on leave.
