my OTP codes from NatWest come through fine on my AIS SIM. I guess it depends on which bank you are with as to how amenable they are.

I had a similar issue but they wanted a utility bill in my name which I couldn't provide (obviously, since I don't live at my daughter's house and have been in Asia for 9 years). However, I got round it by applying to change my photo. It gives you the option of using your current passport photo. I still gave my daughter's address but didn't need the proof of address.

hmmm, nice to see reciprocating agreements in action. If you are Thai and want to visit relatives in the UK you can stay 6 months, if you're British and want to visit your Thai wife in Thailand or a relative in Thailand you get a 2 month visa and a one month extension. Seems fair..........🤔🤭

yep, in the past few years NatWest incompetence has made me about £1100 in compensation payments and £400 in refunds. You know things aren't going smoothly for the bank when you're on first name terms with everyone in the complaints division 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

in addition, NatWest now allows overseas numbers for it banking app through the Play Store so now I use both that and online banking. However, they can be a bit lax when it comes to texts to customers with overseas numbers so I recently got a bank charges refund of £85 because they hadn't texted me to let me know my account was going overdrawn.

Well, on the plus side, I did get a nice tan, on the minus side, it's raining here almost every day so I don't think it'd be quite such an enjoyable stroll. Although next time, screw tradition, if I have to hike it I'm wearing shorts not trousers. My knees need a bit more colour🤣🤣🤣

yeah, last time I had to go in person, from arriving to leaving immigration was about 25 mins which was great. What wasn't so great was the 17km hike there and back because there's no public transport from where I live that goes anywhere near the immigration office, I don't have my own wheels and the only Grab driver in town has quit. Hence I am willing to try so hard to do it online.

But, rest assured, they have their top specialists working on the problem...

My last attempt was successful. However, it took 3 days and about 20 submissions on Chrome, Mozilla and Edge using 3 different windows devices and 2 different phones. Perseverance is the key. I think that's why you're allowed to submit 14 days before it's due, coz it'll take at least 12 of them to get the required result!
