When still in Thailand, is it not possible just get an extension of stay due to medical reasons ? (with prove letters of doctor/hospital ofcourse. I thought I read somewhere you can get max. 90 days then. If there are still medical issues, you can repeat the question at imm.

Graham Seal Yes or if you can plan it, it's even possible to get a re-entry permit on y'r 90 day visa.

The 'problem' with the year 'mariage extension', it goes almost with every imm. office, 30 days 'under consideration' first. Only after that 30 days you get the next 11 months stamped in. So also after getting that consideration stamp you have to be in Thailand when the waiting period is over. Also they can pay you a visit during those 30 days to check if you live together indeed. So, I think with y'r travel, my 'thought' is not so convenient for you I guess. Retirement extension (alas 800k฿ needed) does not have that consideration period.

Thought: You COULD already go for the mariage year extension. From about 30 days left on yr non o . Then also buy a re-entry permit (single or maybe in yr case multi). Then you are already covered for a whole year. If you come in 30 days before yr year extension expires...repeat.

yep, but with the choice "Funds for long stay...." on BKB overview, it already says international immediately.

Samuel, and don't forget to register Wise full ! So with copy pasport and photo of y'r face, holding y'r pasport near y'r face. Otherwise bigger amounts most of the time getting refused and you first have to register full anyway.

Nope. You have to choose "Funds for long stay in Thailand". Then it shows international transfer. By the way, Bangkok bank is one of the few which shows that already. Other banks you many times find a code in the back of y'r bankbook.
