I know there are several steps still left before becoming official, but any updates on visa requirements related to same-sex marriage with a Thai national?

The situation:

I am British and my husband is Thai. We are going to Thailand to get his Thai ID card (he came to the U.K. as a child so needs to go to Thailand for his first Thai ID card). We hope to stay in Thailand for a while.

We are thinking of entering Thailand either with 30 days on arrival or a tourist visa. Once he has his ID card, and if we choose to stay, I will apply for a marriage visa in Thailand.

My questions:

Am I right in thinking that I will need to take our British marriage certificate, legalised/certified by the FCO in Milton Keynes and the Thai embassy in London? Then stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok?

Am I right in thinking that as a foreign wife, I will not need to prove my income (I make 40,000 baht per month anyway though if needed).

Can this be done at his local Amphur office in Thailand?

Anything else we will need?

Hi I'm an Australian coming to Thailand on a visa exemption and will be living with my wife ( marriage not registered in Thailand) in her house in Chiang Mai do I need to have a TM30 .

Also if I travel and go to a hotel do I have to register when I return.

Hello, I have a question about a Thai marriage visa. I am American and married to a Thai National. Can I get a marriage visa if my wife and I make 40,000 baht a month combined from both of us? Or am I required to make 40,000 baht on my own?

My husband is a thai national but are not living in Thai at the moment. May i seek your kind help to clarify the requirements of spouse visa ? (The checklist was download from IO website, hope it is correct):

1. Pt6.2 & 6.3 - overseas marriage require letter from embassy or consulate and legalization division, is that mean we need to get their verification doc supporting?

2. Pt8 - as he is not in Thai now, is employment and monthly income proof of my husband in Thailand a must item for spouse visa application?

What if you have proper visa and work permit in Thailand and you gonna marry with foreign Girl not Thai girl

And she will be here with TR visa

What options she is gonna have with Extension of visa based on Marriage with Foreign Husband as Foreign wife 🤔

The Thai husband of a foreigner died while she was away from Thailand with kids on a trip. The children are Thai citizens and currently abroad. How does the death of a spouse affect the marriage visa? Especially with kids?
