TLDR : Answer Summary
The query revolves around the difficulties faced by a person trying to bring a Thai woman to Italy on a tourist visa, especially since she is unemployed. Various commenters provide insights, highlighting that obtaining a tourist visa for Thai nationals can be quite challenging without strong ties to Thailand such as employment, property, or significant financial resources. Suggestions include documenting financial stability and reasons for her return to Thailand, as well as mentioning that using an agency may not guarantee success. Many stressed the importance of having sufficient proof to convince immigration authorities.

I'm certain in Thailand you can get a company to 'employ' her if that is the only issue. Or in Italy ask a mate to employ her.

Hardly any companies in Thailand will "employ" some random person just to get a visa. You're dreaming.

First remark you can try, but the second "Ask a mate IN ITALY to employ her", would be "killing". She may not work with a tourist Schengen visa in a Schengen country !!! That's also a big reason to reject if they suspect that !!

Do it at your consulate or embassy.

you don't need agency you can do it yourself.

My girlfriend dont have a job neither and came 4 times in France.

Apply for a tourist visa (i recommand to ask only for 3 weeks - 1 month for the first time).

Book a flight with return. (You can book it on "book for visa. com" for 15$.

Book an hotel reservation.

Get a schengen inssurance.

Put 200k bahts on her bank account.

And that's it.

she has to prove reasons to go back

Try Lithuania, 98.7% acceptance rate for Schengen Visa. Then just travel to Italy from there?

Nicola, what John Catapano says is the key for a schengen visa. Prove enought she goes back.

Also a bit of proof is that you know eachother quite some time. (photo's).

And she needs a passport ofcourse.

I first went to my municipal in the Netherlands let them stamp a form that my income was high enough to support her and give her accommodation in my house

(My Employer's declaration). Maybe smart the first time, only get her 3 or 4 weeks. Not the full 90 days.

Then I made an invitation letter with reason I wanted to show her my country and introduce her to my family. Also reasons that she has to go back. Also my phone number and that they could reach me
****
.

I also gave 6-7 photo's of me, her and her family. She also did not have a real (tax) job, but helped in a shop and helped family on the (rice/casave) land. Make foto's ! Not so many Thai people have 'a real' job that they have to pay tax or have healtcare insurance by them.

Only if they work at a bigger company.

Then does she have younger children or older parents she has to take care of (so she has to go back), does she have a blue house book, owns land etc. Find as much reasons as possible that she has to go back.

Book a refundable ticket and at last a Thai healthcare/travel insurance for the time she is with you. Then there were 12 or so recomended companies.

Before one had to go to the Embassy for some kind of interview. Now it's done by VFS Global I think. Both Bangkok. I got even a tip that she dresses properly if invited for the interview.

Sometimes it seems to be a bit nitpicking, but in this case the more proof the better.

Good luck.

At least in the United States, its become very hard for a single Thai women with no steady income to get a visa. This is not without reason, many of the Thai folks are infamous for going abroad to "visit" and ending up overstaying for years working illegally etc. Not saying I support the tough handedness, but the authorities are simply reacting to the situation. It seems many single Thai ladies will move and stay abroad with the hopes that they will find a spouse and will be able to get a legit long term visa.

@Sam ********
Yes, especially if the women are under 35 or 40. Malaysia even requires Thai and Vietnamese ladies traveling alone who are under 35 to provide proof of a hotel reservation and they will only be stamped in for the period the reservation is valid for. This is because many Thai and Vietnamese ladies end up working as prostitutes in Malaysia.

Signs to this effect are posted at all entry checkpoints.

no money in bank, no job, no land

NO CHANCE of visa

Not all of these are necessary. Having a steady job is the best chance of getting a visa, without needing land, property ownership or a lot of money in the bank...however, it needs to be a relatively good white collar job with a decent income.

I know a wealthy Thai lady (she comes from a wealthy family) who was rejected for an Australian tourist visa because she only had evidence of land, motor vehicles and was working informally for her family business. She later on married an Irishman living in Australia and was granted a tourist visa. She was then told to get an appropriate visa by immigration as she was spending way too much time in Australia on a tourist visa. Later, she qualified for permanent residency and is now applying for citizenship. It's been nearly 15 years since the time of her Australian tourist visa rejection and her applying for citizenship.

The agency can only help you to apply. Officer at the Italian Embassy will be the one making decision. Their job is on the line if too many girls don’t come back, and they are regularly reviewed so they must make sure all documents are in order and all boxes are ticked on her file before they process her visa. Maybe she can try getting a job?

Try an Agent in Italy.

My friend just got a visa to come see me in Portugal...for the visa she had to show three years of tax returns, property she owns in thailand, the job she has, bank statements the past 6 months proving the money came from income...gifting of funds wasn't allowed. Unless your girlfriend can prove all of this, then she is never going.

Throw in your own bank statements showing 100k Euro works every time

Yeah, your chances are not good.

Sadly it seems to be very difficult to get tourist visas for Thai nationals to western countries, if not impossible. Had hoped to do it for my wife, before we got married but unless there is ample reason to believe that their ties to Thailand would guarantee their return, it’s really a roll of the dice.

Most countries aren't like Thailand where you can get anything for a price.

Agents for foreign visas are generally only for advice and to help you gather documents together to present the best story. But if she doesn't qualify then there's not much an agency can do to help.
