@Holp *****
because it was issued by UK, which is what you need to put. I have seen it before on replacement passport as place of issue being different to issuing country. It’s the issuing country that has to be used and NOT the place.

If you had issued in a different country to your home Courtney you HAVE to put your home country. This is one of the reasons they can reject for what you said.

my bad, yeah residence cert, in samui it’s free but wait 7 days for it to be issued.

Anonymous participant it’s upto you how to apply, I would apply with the info you have, write a cover letter with all the pages on a single pdf for upload and try. It looks like you have everything you need, it’s just how it’s worded. And the info you wrote here I think should be enough. Once you have the visa it’s irrelevant as new contract as a consultant or other is ok for ongoing as well as you will have paperwork for future use.

Whatever you do, once you have the DTV my advice would be carry printed copies of all paperwork on entry. Makes it much simpler if required.

What does your contract of employment currently state?

yes, any stay where you maybe paid a hotel will register you anyway, meaning you will need to redo.

it’s always 2 year on 1st licence anyway. 😉

Depends where you are, Samui is possible and no appointment needed.

Medical, TM30, copies of all passport stamps and main page, copies on driving licence (front and back on same page, copy of IDP.

If you want bike and car and are eligible for both then 2 copies of everything.

Done in 90 minutes.

Work action is far less likely to be questioned although can and goes happen. My advise when travelling is to keep printed copies of everything you submitted though, just in case. Because if you do get asked and don’t have readily available it could cause you some issues.

how do you know it hasn’t happened? Do you have any idea of how many people get turned away in Bangkok each week? Or how many in Phuket? It’s not small numbers. And yet we don’t hear about them. Whatever the reason refused entry the visa is not a right to enter.
