It depends on where you are as to the rules that will be applied correctly or incorrectly.

Samui you can do on normal tourist visa or exemption as an example.

Property Ownership.

Work Visa.

Or Agent which has also become an issue recently. B it maybe still possible.

Yes as long as you can meet the same conditions if checked on reentry then it’s fine. Which is why the soft route is not such a great idea I don’t think.

Every DLT is different as is every Imigration center. So worth checking locally what you can and can’t do.

Samui allows resident certificate the week you arrive even on tourist visa as long as you have a TM30
