Approved in Ho Chi Minh City.

Soft power DTV visa application took 8 business days (total 10 days). There was one public holiday in between. I’m a Myanmar citizen. Used service from Issa Compass agent (they’re great!). Now they’ll submit one for my spouse too.

Submitted on 4th Aug.

Embassy requested further documents on 6th Aug.

Approved on 14th Aug.

Hello, I have a DTV visa that I need to get stamped outside of Thailand.

So I'm going to Ranong in 3 days to do this, but I'm hearing two conflicting options.

One comes from a local who offers his services for 2,600 baht with the speedboat that departs from Ranong Pier, including the Myanmar visa fee.

The other version says there's no visa on arrival, and that I have to apply for an e-visa online, which takes a maximum of 3 days to receive by email.

Which version is correct, please?

Thank you for your answers.

I want to cross the border into Myanmar in Ranong in January for the border run. Has anyone been there recently and did everything go smoothly?

Does it make sense that the next walk-in appointment is not until August?

I am wanting to apply for Online Visa, looking for the next available appointment to the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane.

It seems the next available date is not til August.

Has anyone done a 30 day visa extension trip Ranong to Myanmar and back to Ranong recently?

Did you use one of the longtail touts who hang around the pier? How did it go?

Also: What was required please back in Thailand, as I recall the only thing mentioned on the descriptive boards there was 20,000 Bhat, presumably in cash, but I suspect the well prepared will also have an onward ticket out of Thailand, and a hotel booked for the next night.

Thanks!

Has anyone recently done a border bounce out of Thailand then back into Thailand at Ranong and could please help me out with some information?

If so what are all the associated costs? What time is the border open? How long does it take to get to Myanmar and back? Where is a safe place to park a big bike? Anything else that could be useful information regarding this? Thanks!

Any new info on Mae Sai/Myanmar border??

The last info I read had it that it is a more complicated process than it used to be..in that one also has to collect and pay for transit permissions on Thai side even before exit , then as used to be..enter briefly , pay for Myanmar visa then cross back to thai side..

BTW...this is for an already initiated multi entrance visa..and will go to Chiang Khong/Huaixai as I had before if there are complications on Mai Sai route.
