TLDR : Answer Summary
After your landlord completed the TM30 registration for your new residence in Chiang Mai, you do not need to take any further actions. However, it's advisable to have a printed copy of the TM30 receipt, as some officials might require it during your 90-day check-in.

Definitely not a dumb question mate. You don't need to do anything else though. Make sure to print out the photo of the TM30 receipt though. Some officers are ok looking at it on your phone, some make you print it out.

I am not sure, but should he not also do a TM27 himself, change of address?

Also remember, Chiang mai immigration has moved 90 day reporting to their new location in Promadana Mall.
