Our UK return flights are scheduled for 3 months after our arrival.
1. Might I have issues (not being a Thai resident) in that my return flight is more than the 60 days automatic visa free stay period for UK nationals? I've been advised *by friends and acquaintances) everything from "forget about it, there'll be no problems" to "better book a flight out of Thailand before the 60 days, even if you don't use it" and "just book a bus to Vietnam during the 60 day period even if you don't use it".
1. It GETS WORSE in that I will actually leave Thailand by (aroundabouts) the 60 days (as yet unscheduled business appointments to keep in the UK) but will be booking flights from LOS to the UK and back, once the dates I must be back in the UK are confirmed, so that me and my Thai lass can return back to the UK together, as per the already scheduled flight.
1. When I return to Thailand, having been away as advised, should I go through immigration as a new arrival or do I need to go to the visa extension desk?
I hope that little lot is a little clear than appears, at first reading.
Would appreciate help / suggestions. I am UK national in the final process of submitting my Permanent residence application, which includes an endorsed "clean UK criminal record". I already have the document, but the British Embassy confirm they will only endorse / verify a passport or drivers license. It has then been suggested to me that I need then to send this to the Thai Embassy in London, who can then endorse this document. Has any UK national recently applied for PR that can confirm the procedure for this. I know other embassies in Thailand will endorse this kind of document, but it seems for UK, the process is slightly different. Appreciate if anyone could share their experience.
We are heading to Thailand on a multi-entry tourist visa.
If we apply for one for our Baby has anyone had experience with this? For example do you still need to prove £5k in Bank for 6 months for the baby? Surely not?
My tourist visa (already extended by 30 days) ends on 29th March. I'm from the UK, and i want to make a new tourist visa and come back here (Thailand). Options have been dropping like flies over the last few days. Looking for some answers regarding Cambodia...
1. I see there are flights from Bangkok to Phnom Penh - as things currently stand, is it possible to fly there? (i.e. will they let me in?) and if so, do I need a visa in advance?
1. I'd like to apply for a new SE Tourist visa at the Thai Embassy at Phnom Penh - will this be possible? or is it likely they would reject the application at this time?
1. As things currently stand, is it possible to fly into Bangkok from Phnom Penh with a valid tourist visa? (I'm aware that as a UK national you need to have the medical certificate, the insurance that covers COVID-19, and a 14 day quarantine will be mandatory - not a problem)
Been following as much of the updates as possible recently, but feel like i might have missed something crucial about Cambodia. The above would be a great solution for me, but seems too good to be true.
