you probably are staying in dirty/dusty Phnom Penh now and you seem to be unhappy staying in Cambodia for any length of time because of that.

May I suggest you take 2-day trips outside Cambodia? It is easy and cheap travel.

I would recommend you visit:

1) Kampot & Kep city ( I lived in this area for 4 years)

2) Siem Reap (I have been many times to this city)

3) Battambang (I currently live in this city)

Those are nice "country like" areas with a lot of greenery.

You can ask your hotel about the bus ticket and schedule.

I read that Thailand are to cancel Preflight PCR test on April 1st as Cambodia has done on 16 of this month.

Yes, you can get 60 day tourist visa for $40 at the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh.

And you will be able to get another 30 day extension in Thailand.

I get my SIM from the actual company shop (not 7-11) at one of the malls and they setup everything for me

Maybe no need for a PCR to return to BKK!

Someone else posted on another group about similar experience. However, he only spent one night in Phnom Penh and returned next morning to BKK

After the officer reviewed my documents and stamped them all (I e approved) she handed me special a form for that with 4 choices. I marked the first one that includes "COVID still on-going".

This is the least expensive and quickest solution.

Only danger in it is you might fall in love with Cambodia and put X on Thailand. Personal experience.
