It is a good thing Bangkok and Thailand in general have much more to offer for tourists, better than these COVID-19 harboring places.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discusses the current state of tourism in Thailand, particularly Bangkok and Pattaya, in the wake of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. Many comments reflect frustration over closures, inconsistent regulations, and the lack of updates regarding the 'Test & Go' and Thai Pass systems. There is also a humorous take on the presence of tourists in Pattaya despite the ongoing situation. Overall, the sentiment is a mix of confusion and hope for future travel.

Thailand maybe, but Bangkok? Not really

It seems like every other country. As it is here in Aust, our respective state premiers seem to change restrictions and rules every other day. As does our Prime Minister. Most Aussies are now vaccinated but makes no difference because 1,000’s upon 1,000’s remain in isolation with most being vaccinated. I’m chomping at the bit to return to Chiang Mai where I have my house, but shit the hoops you have to jump thru seem insurmountable combined with our requirements here in Aust. FFS just accept it and stand talk to tackle what ever we need tackle minus the bureaucratic bull shit imposed. Let’s travel freely.

Bangkok governor announced his covid initiative, reported by Malaysian “ the star” media? Can this be more fake? Accidentally, I visited both bars and massage spas after “ the announcements” none of operators heard of the “ news”

Someone should come to Bang Saray near Pattaya. . All current regulations and laws are totally disregarded with no intervention. Groups of Thai people gathering without masks or social distancing. What a joke !

After posting this and at this moment I noticed most of the 25 massage places around me are open today 😱 Did the governor change his mind?

Good lol. Only this morning 3 scruffy backpackers sat on my condo steps with 7-11 purchased beers. The security were on the ball though. Blew his whistle and moved them on. 😊🤣🤣😂
April 10th sticks in mind for some reason. After the Krystal Club debacle. Japanese Ambassador got it there plus other senior figures took it home to wives and families. Did not go down well.
