I fly out on Wednesday to go to Cambodia. I booked my trip for 2 weeks. How long do I have to be out of Thailand to come back and get a tourist visa for 30 days. I just don't know if I want to stay in Cambodia for that long and I'm thinking about cutting my trip short.

Can I come back after 5 to 7 days and qualify for a tourist visa? I'm on a covid-19 extension at the moment

 I was reading on the Thai govt site and it says if you leave you can return as long you don’t over stay the first visa . Just check on the site . Maybe go to a visa agent and ask as well .

 I have an apartment here that I fully furnished and paid roughly 180,000 baht for home furnishing. I have an extra few months left on the contract. I just don't want to up and leave everything here and have the owner keep everything. I would like to be able to sell most of my belongings and take the rest back to the states with me.

 no volunteer Visa. Only one covid extension. I originally came and had an education Visa. That ended 2 months ago so I had to get the covid-19 extension. Plus I have never left the country in 7 months.

 I got my Visa for Cambodia a couple of days ago. Is visa on arrival for Thailand when I go back?

I just spoke to a friend of mine who told me how his friend was the denied entry back into Bangkok and that is kind of scaring me

A tourist visa must be purchased at the Thai embassy or consulate you can get stamped infor 30 days exempt I think you might need to stay a bit longer for that try to get a tourist visa ask the hotel desk in cambo

 yes or it's possible someone in your hotel can do it for you for a small fee and you'll get 60 days and extend for 30 more

 Yes, you can get 60 day tourist visa for $40 at the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh.

And you will be able to get another 30 day extension in Thailand.

Why dont you get a tourist visa whilst in Cambodia ? Been many reports of people getting stopped entry who have been here a long time on covid extensions etc.

Remember the

baht cash you are supposed to have with you for entry back into Thailand

But there is report in Cambodia topic which i linked before on one of your previous questions where the person just did a very short turnaround (less than 1 day)

Don’t forget you will need to do another Thailand Pass (TP) application before coming back to Thailand and 24 hour hotel with PCR Test

 did you know pre-flight PCR test needed to fly out of Thailand (to Cambodia) and back to Thailand (from Cambodia)?

 there’s nothing stopping you starting the Thailand Pass (TP) application while your still in Thailand and I think staying in Cambodia maybe one week should be sufficient for you to return
