Correct BKK Bank is THE WORST for any help obtaining non o visa or any visa. Their rules change daily. A simple search will tell you how horrible they are and infact they have lost hundreds of customers over the ignorant policies and freezing accounts, etc. Every other bank in thailand is easy to work with. Don't waste your time on BKK bank for anything.

As a scuba instructor i also have FAN insurance which provides amazing coverage and repatriation if there is a problem. Read the fine print.
