I just found out that the DTV Visa doesn’t limit the right to own a condo in Thailand.

If you planned to stay in Chiang Mai for 5 years

would you buy or rent?

Lots of posts about buying/investing in Thailand.

This article (just a screen dump) shows it’s a rocky road.

In my humble view, invest in the market you know and mostly that’s your home country.

Up to you

👍😉

So what i need is a guide to take me around and show me places each day , no problems paying someone for quality service, local knowledge...Help me decide the best place to settle down ...If anyone could recommend , would be greatly appreciated...cheers

Hi all, I'm looking at getting a 12 month lease on a condo in Central Bangkok near Asoke. The project has dozens of condos available through various agents. Given that most are all at the same price, is it possible I could get them down on the listed cost? It seems there is a lot of availability with little demand... And in most markets that should mean a possible discount...

Thanks

Is it possible for a foreigner to get a mortgage in Thailand or do most people buy places for cash . Or is it best rent long term?
