It depends on you... I see lots of older 70´s and 80´s models of Volvo’s kicking around. But I believe that parts would be hard to come by. I would agree with the older toyota, Honda and even some Mazda being a good buy. Older vehicles are however expensive, but there is no rust. I paid 160k baht for a 1 owner 2003 Toyota Corolla Altis fully loaded with the sport mode button 4 years ago. It has 300k kms on it and runs great 👍🏻 with no oil top up between service. I’ve spent 35k in maintenance of parts and repairs in that time. Air con system 20k, new door locks, rear wheel bearing hubs and a new radiator. Oh and new tires last year.

I have an app the staff helped me setup when I opened my account. I highly recommend it. It’s way more user friendly than any I’ve used in my home country. If your on the phone with staff... try to set up and save yourself many headaches. You can pay most of your utilities and other bills through the app as well.

I had a promotion with AIS 2 years ago. I have a fiber Internet high speed package for my home. So it has a router and internet for my Tv and cable packages. I also received 1 free unlimited SIM card that I use in my iPad. I believe it costs 641.20 baht a month. I believe in a phone there is additional fees for phone calls and text messages.

I have been to many countries. I found that the generosity of Thais is incredible. The overall cleanliness of most Thais and oral hygiene is quite impressive. I have never had the feeling of “fear” in Thailand of being robbed, mugged or cheated even when I was vulnerable from being drunk late at night. I like that the overall cost of living is still quite low in most areas even for Thai people. I am also amazed at the road infrastructure and how nearly every road is paved and that the pace of roadwork is staggering.

I once left my wallet with 30 000 baht and my id at a music 🎶 bar in Pattaya on walking street after I paid our bill. The waitress found me 15 minutes after I left on a super crowded walking street. I was super impressed. A good ♥️.

Also.... having broken many parts on my body. The heat makes me feel 10 years younger and if something is sore I can get a Thai massage to fix the issue.

Lastly... I love 💕 how everyone goes crazy when they watch a Thai fighter in a Muay Thai fight battle with a foreigner. Epic!

These are the positives I have witnessed.

I was led to believe you had to leave it in the account for the entire time you lived in Thailand and that it could NOT drop below 400k baht.
