Hello everyone.

I have checked out the Evisa and my local consulate web page, but alas I cannot find any details of the following:

1)Multiple entry "O" marriage visas

2) Multiple entry tourist visa

These were available pre covid and pre evisa as I have had them in the past.

I am Canadian who is married to a Thai and I typically spend 170 to 185 days there.

Thanks to all of the useful information.

No I am not interested in getting a year long extension at this time and having 400k baht in my Thai bank account(not sensible at this time)*

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian expat married to a Thai citizen is seeking information about the availability of multiple entry 'O' marriage visas and multiple entry tourist visas in Thailand, which were available prior to COVID-19. Community feedback indicates that many consulates no longer offer these visas, suggesting alternative options such as visa runs to neighboring countries like Vietnam or Laos.

What consulate? The evisa system doesn’t show you options for a tourist visa - until you select it and then gives you the option of single or multiple. Most consulates will no longer sell a multiple entry O visa. They sell you a 90 day one and you extend in country.

HCMC in Vietnam and Savannakhet in Laos are two that do. They’re not on the evisa system as yet. You need to apply in person.

“Officially” you are only allowed one ☝️ 60 day extension at an immigration or has that changed?

For a tourist visa (or exempt) you’re allowed one 30 day extension. For a non O you can only extend for one year.

are you talking about the visit Thai family extension? That one is available once per entry and is 60 days.

Tourist Visa extension is only 30 days.

Ah. Hadn’t thought about the 60 day “visit Thai family” option….

to the rescue with the multi entry non-O countries!

Many consulates still are not offering either of those since Covid.

I believe one of the neighboring countries to Thailand is offering the multi-entry non-O, so if you want to do a visa run once you arrive in Thailand, or go straight to that country, you may be able to get that. But it's likely your only option.

Do you know which country and city? I’m assuming it would be the old sticker style?

search through the group and you should be able to find it. I'm not sure. And yes, none of the nearby countries use evisa, it's apply in person and get a sticker only.
