If I come to Thailand on a Non immigrant O “marriage” visa I can stay for:

1)90 days on initial entry.

2) get a 30 day extension for 1900 baht at local immigration.

3) get a 60 day extension after this based on family at local immigration.

Total 180 days.

Has anyone done this or had issues with the above?

Thanks everyone! You wonderful citizens of 🌎 have been very helpful. 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Non-Immigrant O ‘marriage’ visa allows an initial stay of 90 days in Thailand, but there are some misconceptions regarding extensions. Users discuss that while a direct 30-day extension is not available for this visa category, a single 60-day extension can be applied for based on family ties after meeting certain conditions. There is a consensus that the total potential stay can be up to 150 days (90 days + 60 days), with financial requirements not applicable to the family-based extension.

Is it possible to get the 30 day extension.... and then the 60 day extension or vice versa?

what part about people telling you there is NO 30 day extension on a Non-Immigrant Type visa are you not understanding?

You keep saying you DID get a 30 day extension when you were here under the amnesty last year, how about posting your entry stamp from back then AND that extension stamp so we can look at the code on it and see why it was issued.

Thank you for the clear and concise answer. You are correct, I was mistaken... it was a 2 month extension. 😜 My apologies. I miss my Teerak, whom I haven’t seen in a year and I’m a bit stressed about the happenings in Thailand at the moment and the logistics of being able to return. 🖐

You get 150 days, 90 from the visa and 60 from the extention of stay.

There are no financial requirements for obtaining the extension based on Thai family for 60 days, other than the 1,900 baht fee.

IF you are already married, they will not sell you a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism. If they sell you a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism, they will not sell you a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family

You can’t do number 2. A non O visa can only be extended for one year providing you meet the financial requirements.

But I did do a 1 month extension the last time I was there because my 2nd 90 days was going to run out before I could return to Canada after my flight was cancelled. It was before amnesty had been offered. May 2020.

you did not get a 30 day extension on a 90 day Non-Immigrant visa entry of ANY kind :/ They don't exist

AND just so you're clear, Amnesty last year started on March 26th and ran until Oct 31st SO if it was in May 2020, you either were on amnesty (which means you didn't NEED a stamp OR you got a 30 day "embassy request" extension with a letter form your embassy.

One last time there is no 30 day extension available to people on non-immigrant type visas
