I’ve got a uk license and IDP but both DLT and driving school said I had to do the 2 day course .This obviously contradicts the general consensus but I will probably have to go along with it .Its only 3000bt but its more the time wasted then cost .Only upside is that the driving school seems to get preferential treatment at DLT and can queue jump as I witnessed yesterday with my wife

I went to my DLT yesterday and they said that I had to do a 2 day course with a driving school so maybe rules vary across Thailand
