TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a retirement visa extension in Thailand, particularly in Pathum Thani, applicants are typically required to submit a map indicating their residence. The common requirement is a simple hand-drawn map showing the main roads from the residence to the immigration office. However, some immigration offices may accept Google Maps or printed versions as well. It's advisable to check with the local immigration office for specific requirements, as they can vary by region.

Never had any of these problems. Lived here since 2009. Maybe they suspect something is not quite right.

That is why whenever anyone asks what documents are required we always tell them to go to the IO and get a list .I was hoping that I didn’t have to do the map and I also have to supply 4 photos of the house ,which I discovered today

It’s a standard set of instructions for everyone in the area .Each office has different requirements and maybe yours doesn’t ask for a map

They want more than a map. They like to turn up at your place unannounced and check out what you and your partner get up to. It's quite discriminatory.

It just says map showing the applicants residence so I would assume ,as you, that’s it’s a local street map but trying to get other feedback

Ian Carman Do a Google Map and print it out highlighting your home then do a hand drawn copy of the same map to cover both options

My immigration office wants a hand drawn map from home to the immigration office which is 30km away. They weren't happy with my rough map so one of the helpers in the office redid for me a couple of years ago so I just photocopy that now
