TLDR : Answer Summary
The user needs advice on when to approach the bank for documentation required for a NON-O visa extension, specifically regarding the timing of their bank letter and statements in relation to their 90-day visa expiration. They mention their funds will be seasoned on January 30th and ask if the bank documentation needs to be dated after this seasoning date, while comments from others provide insights on bank processing times and advice on banking in Thailand.

A fair stretch, from Yasothon to Pathum Thani, 500km. Not rare, the bank may ask you to visit your original branch for whatever.

If Yasothon is your long term address, you may consider moving your banking to there.

I made my banking with Kasikorn Bank a walking distance from my Bangkok home.

Kasikorn don’t open until 1100 most mornings and the IO in yasothon is a fair distance from my house .So I don’t mind staying at my house in pathum for a few weeks and the IO is 10 minutes away and from previous experience never busy

BKK Bank cannot produce a 12 month statement same day. Only 6 months maximum.

No, it's not up to which branch. Bangkok Bank branches CANNOT produce a 12 month official immigration statement on the spot. They have to send to headquarters to get it.

Which bank do you use? It's only Bangkok Bank that takes time to get a bank statement, and that's only if it's a 12 month statement. They can do 6 months instantly, and every other bank can do 12 months instantly.

It's normally 5-7 days to get it. Then when the statement is ready, request the bank letter.

so the schedule is, ask a week before for the statement and the letter, go on the morning and get an updated bank book? How long are they current for? Before immigration ask for more up to date one?

Bank Statement and Bank letter are normally good for a week. This will vary based on immigration office so you need to check with your office on how old they can be. Bank book update is same day.

Normally those things can be up to a week old to use for your extension. So you can go 1-2 days before you plan to go to immigration and get them, that way you don't have to try to go to the bank super early and then rush to immigration.

Many immigration offices do require you to have a copy of your bankbook that is updated the day you go to the office though.

Kasikorn issued me my letter and statements after my money was seasoned the day I went — immigration said the letter certifying my seasoned deposit could be no more than 7 days old. I went to immigration the next day to process my extension after updating my bank book in the morning with a small deposit at an atm — immigration also told me to do this.
