TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 1-year extension for your Non-O retirement visa in Bangkok, you need to follow these steps: 1) Deposit at least 800,000 THB into your Thai bank account and let it season for 2 full months. 2) Ensure your landlord has completed a TM30 form and obtain a copy of the receipt. 3) Gather your documents, including 3 months of bank statements, a no-objection letter from the bank (which cannot be older than 7 days), and updated bank book. 4) Check the specific requirements of the local immigration office before applying for your extension, as requirements may vary. It is crucial to initiate this process within the 90-day stay permit to avoid having to exit Thailand and start over.

As you cannot get an extension on top of the 90-days stay permit you got stamped in when you entered, you will have to exit Thailand and start the process again, from scratch.
