Thanks Stuart for clarifying. Office saying they will notify immigration the cancellation date of the Visa and work-permit effective 20 Jan 2023 (Which is last day on the Visa) but will do that 21 days in advance (reference image attached.) Does that sound legit they can do that in advance? Concerned they screw it up and I am stuck with overstay.

ok I am more confused after all the posts. I am on a Non B Visa which lasts for 12 months. Stamp says"extension of stay permitted up to /23. Holder must leave with the date specified." Based on that visa and stamp can I stay till the /23 or do I have to go to immigration same day and apply for extension? Thanks!
