Regarding holding the 800K baht for 3 months after the annual extension of retirement visa, is it 3 months from the date you applied / got the extension at immigration, or is it the date the previous extension expires, new extension starts?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 3-month holding period for the 800K baht requirement after obtaining the annual extension of a retirement visa starts from the day the extension is granted, not from the expiration date of the previous extension. This is confirmed by multiple comments stating that the holding period begins the day the extension is granted, which is typically the same day as the application or the following day.

It's 3 month from the day the extension is granted... which is normally the same day when you applied or the next day.

Good question, is it 3 months after the extension is granted, or 3 months into the new extension? I'm thinking after the extension is granted.

when you get the extension, you will receive paperwork stating when to return. It is 3 months from date of extension.
